Treason stylized as Klaus Veen's Treason, is a first-person social-deduction game that runs on the Source engine. It is a hybrid of murder mystery games and a traditional TDM first-person shooter, where innocents must find clues to hunt down murderers. Innocents have two specialized roles, The Doctor and the Detective who help innocents track down bodies.
- Note: this article will only list weapons found in the Steam version of the game.
The following weapons appear in the video game Treason:
Pistols
M1911A1
The M1911A1 appears as the only mag-fed semi-auto pistol in the game, it is incorrectly shown with 10 rounds in a 7+1 round mag, and it uses light ammo in-game.
Smith & Wesson Model 27
The Smith & Wesson Model 27 appears in-game as the sole revolver in the game, using medium ammo. When reloaded, the entire cylinder is dumped and loaded round-by-round.
Submachine guns
MP 40
The MP 40 with a Bakelite receiver appears as one out of two available submachine guns in-game, it comes with its stock folded and with a sling equipped. It features the correct mag size of 32-rounds of 9x19mm.
M1928A1 Thompson
The M1928A1 Thompson appears as the second available submachine gun. It is fed from a 50-round drum magazine, and the Blish lock system of the M1928A1 is correctly animated (unlike most games).
Rifles
StG 44
The StG 44 is the game's sole assault rifle.
Remington Model 81 Woodmaster
The Remington Model 81 was the game's first new gun, added in the 1/31/2024 update. It's also the only semi-automatic primary in the game. It appears with its standard 5-round mag of an unknown caliber and stylized rear iron sights.
M1903A4 Springfield
The M1903A4 Springfield appears in-game as the generic sniper rifle, it comes equipped with an M84 scope (the same scope used on the M1D Garand), and it is correctly depicted with an accurate M84 scope reticle but falsely can use two levels of zoom in-game.
Shotguns
Browning Auto-5
A Browning Auto-5 appears as the game's only shotgun, it features a sawed-down barrel and a heavily stylized stock. When reloaded, the bolt is always cocked back after reload no matter how much ammo is in the tube; it is also incorrectly depicted as full-auto.
Grenades
F-1 hand grenade
The F-1 hand grenade is the game's sole explosive weapon.
Suffocante Mle 1915
The Suffocante Mle 1915 appears as the "Smoke Grenade". Its main use is to cover up escapes but it can also be used as a lethal gas grenade like the real Suffocante, and deals damage every tick that steadily increases the longer a player stands in it.
