Walker, Texas Ranger (1993-2001)

The following guns were used in the television series Walker, Texas Ranger.

Contents

[edit] Beretta 92 FS INOX

Carried by Cordel Walker (Chuck Norris) throughout the series as his primary sidearm. for a while, then switched to a nickel Taurus PT92 with custom engraved wood grips. He also used a silver 1911 variant in at least one season. Then in the last season he switched to a two tone compact 1911 variant, perhaps a Smith and Wesson .40 or .45 Sigma series semi-automatic pistol.

Walker's sidearm was not an all-stainless Inox. It was a hybrid blued/Inox. If I remember correctly, it had a stainless frame and barrel, but a blued slide and controls. -MT2008

Gunrunners are seen shooting a similar weapon in the following scene.

A bad guy hunting walker is seen with one, before walker jumps out of the leaves and incapacitates him. Walker also uses one from the back of a speeding police truck at the begining of the season 2 episode "Road to Black Bayou," in an intense drug bust. In the previous episode ("Rainbow Warrior), Walker's revolver is broken when it gets shot by an oil tycoon and his hired guns on the Cherokee reservation. Those men also use mp5's. At the end of the episode, Walker is given his nickel plated Beretta M9 at CD's by CD, Alex, and Trivette. Trivette remarks that the gun was very expensive, and Walker calls it a "Beauty."

[edit] SIG-Sauer P220 pistol series

Walker is seen with a SIG-Sauer P220 pistol in the Pilot episode. He switches to the SIG when he needs more firepower than his revolver. This is accurate, in the book "One Ranger" by H. Joaquin Jackson, Jackson states how he would change pistols or rifles depending on what he was doing. If Jackson wanted more firepower he would recover a 5" Colt 1911 fromt he trunk of his car and keep his Colt Commander as a back-up.

[edit] M1911 pistol series

Walker carries at least 2 1911 variants at some point in the show. Ranger Sidney Cook and Ranger Francics Gage both used Colt Combat Elites during their time on the show. During the final season, Walker also carries a Combat Elite in a crossdraw holster.
