Armageddon is a 1998 disaster thriller directed by Michael Bay and starring Bruce Willis as a veteran oil driller who is asked by the US government to join a NASA mission to land on a meteor and plant a nuclear weapon in order to prevent a collision with Earth. The film's cast includes Billy Bob Thornton, Liv Tyler, Will Patton, and Ben Affleck. Armageddon also was released in the same year as the similarly-themed film Deep Impact.
At one point in the film, Colonel William Sharp (William Fichtner) pulls a nickel finish Heckler & Koch P7M13 that was kept in a secret storage locker (it also appears that the gun was stored in the shuttle loaded and loose). Charles "Chick" Chapple (Will Patton) is then led to ask why Sharp needs a gun in space.
Mossberg 590
There are two separate appearances of Mossberg 590 shotguns in the film. The first is a 590 with a high-capacity magazine tube, bayonet lug, and heat shield on the oil rig where Harry Stamper (Bruce Willis) chases A.J. Frost (Ben Affleck) after catching him sleeping with his daughter Grace Stamper (Liv Tyler), firing several rounds at him before hitting him in the ankle with a grazing shot. The second appearance is a Mariner model, also with a high-capacity magazine, being wielded by FBI agents at a roadblock while trying to catch Jayotis "Bear" Kurleenbear (Michael Clarke Duncan).

In addition to drilling equipment, the Armadillo vehicles used on the asteroid are also armed with M61 Vulcans. Following the crash of the Independence shuttle on the asteroid, A.J. uses the Vulcan cannon on his shuttle's Armadillo to shoot apart the fuselage of the crashed shuttle enough to ram through it. Later in the film, Rockhound (Steve Buscemi), under the effects of space dementia, gets a hold of a remote control for one of these weapons and begins to open fire, nearly hitting several of the protagonists before being tackled and disarmed by Harry.
The War of the Worlds is the 1953 film adaptation of the famous H.G. Wells novel of the same name. Widely regarded as one of the best science-fiction novel-to-film adaptations, the film does take several creative liberties with the original story, namely the location of the film taking place in California instead of the United Kingdom, the setting in the then-present day 1950s rather than the 1890s, and many of the title characters that appear in the novel being completely absent in the film adaptation. Nevertheless, the film garnered much critical acclaim and status that still continues to this day. A second film adaptation starring Tom Cruise and directed by Steven Spielberg was released in 2005.

The XM148 Grenade Launcher was a prototype 40mm underslung grenade launcher designed to be mounted to the M16 series of rifles, by Colt Firearms. The XM148 did a series of field trials, but it was never formally adopted nor fielded in great numbers, since the US Army decided upon AAI Corps' 40mm Grenade Launcher, which ended up being the M203, which is the current 40mm Grenade Launcher used by US military forces and their allies (though is being phased out in US service by the Heckler & Koch M320). It is extremely unlikely that any actual XM148 will appear in any movie or television show, since most existing examples are in museums (except for a single genuine XM148 in Mosfilm studio guns collection), however it has been depicted via artist work in Anime or Video Games. Mocked-up 'copies' of the launcher, made out of aluminum and plastic by propmakers have been seen (but not verified) in B-movies.
Jurassic World: Evolution 2 is a 2021 business management simulation developed by Frontier Developments and is the sequel to Jurassic World: Evolution. The game features four game modes: A campaign where the player assists Claire Dearing (voiced by Bryce Dallas Howard) and Owen Grady (voiced by A.J. LoCascio) in creating dinosaur preserves in coordination with the US Department of Fish & Wildlife. Challenge Mode allows the player to create their own Jurassic World theme park in various locations around the world. Chaos Theory features what-if scenarios for each of the films in the Jurassic Park film series. And Sandbox, where the player is free to play how they want. Jeff Goldblum and B.D. Wong reprise their respective characters from the films while John Hammond and Simon Masrani are voiced by stand-in actors. In the BioSyn Campaign, Campbell Scott, Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Mamoudou Athie reprise their respective characters from Jurassic World: Dominion. The game features expanded gameplay mechanics and introduces pterosaurs and marine reptiles to the roster.
Customized Tranquilizer Rifle
Returning from Jurassic World: Evolution, a customized tranquilizer rifle is used as the standard issue tranquilizer for Capture Teams and, new to the sequel, the Mobile Veterinary Unit. Rustlers in the Jurassic World: Dominion Chaos Theory level also use the rifle. Like in the previous game, it is modeled after a prop weapon used in Jurassic World. Unlike the film, but like the previous game, the rifle is depicted as operating in bolt-action, and with a CO2 canister mounted at the front of the weapon. The film's prop CO2 canister which operated the bolt is still seen mounted into the stock.
The tranquilizer rifle in the game features an unuseable underbarrel mounted M203 grenade launcher. In the previous game, the launcher was used to fire flare rounds to attract dinosaurs. However, that mechanic has been given to the Mobile Veterinary Units and Ranger Teams who use an Orion flare gun.
All characters in the film, including US Marshal John Carruthers (John Wayne), Sheriff Jake Withers (George "Gabby" Hayes), Danti the Polka Dot Bandit (Yakima Canutt), and another henchman (Earl Dwire) all carry Single Action Army revolvers. According to Phil Spangenberger in a 2006 article for True West magazine, Wayne's 5 1/2"-barreled Single Action Army was likely the same .38-40 WCF model manufactured by Colt in 1928 that he carried in many of his earlier films across the 1930s.
